Phil, Amelia, and Justice Nguyen live in the rural area of Carp, Canada with their baby Justice and pet Pomeranian, Ginger.

Phil and Amelia first met in 1997, when Amelia (born Behi) moved to Ottawa to study Law at Carleton University. Their first encounter was in Taekwon-Do class while they were both training under their instructor. Months later, Phil finally asked Amelia out on a date and the rest was magic…

On August 15, 2000 at 9:59pm, near Cinderella's castle at Disney's Magic Kingdom, 32 months after their first date, Phil told Amelia how he thought she was "a brave soul, a beautiful woman, and a beloved friend." On bended knee, he then asked, "Will you marry me?" At 10:00pm, when a teary-eyed Amelia said "Yes", the sky lit up with magnificent fireworks and their lives magically transformed in an instant. It was a night which will hopefully be reflective of the rest of their lives together.

On September 1, 2001, Phil and Amelia were married in a dual Baha'i-Catholic wedding ceremony in Ottawa which was witnessed by over 150 of their family members, friends, and professional colleagues.  The wedding reception took place at the Chateau Laurier.

Both Phil and Amelia continue to train in the martial art of Taekwon-Do, in which Phil is a 6th Degree Black Belt, and Amelia is a 4th Degree Black Belt, and own and operate Black Belt Excellence Martial Arts Academy.

Their lives have been forever transformed for the better with the arrival of their first child, baby Justice, who was born on February 26, 2006 in Ottawa.  Although Phil and Amelia are both Canadians, Phil is of Vietnamese origin while Amelia is of a Iranian descent, which makes their baby boy a result of an "Asian-Persian fusion."
